What ever you do don't miss the fun! The Calstock May Day Festival is mystical, based on a local legend of the River Tavy meeting up with the River Tamar and eloping together entwined forever as they drifted down towards the sea. And yes, the Calstock Giant does knock on the cottages first floor windows, to bring the people out to play!
