Sandhill House Bed & Breakfast enjoys an Indian Summer

Well! This really is, finally, an Indian Summer. The weather here in Gunnislake is just gorgeous with the sun beating down on The Tamar Orchard Barn's south facing terrace and dragonflies competing for the cooling water of the ponds.

If this warm weather continues, followed by frosts, the Tamar Valley will be set up for one of the very best Autumn colour shows in England!

The National Trust is running an excellent campaign The Great British Walks, to encourage people to get out and about walking to enjoy the 'Season of Mellow Mists and Fruitfulness', which includes the top 10 best secret walks in Britain, and our very own Cornish Trelissick House has one of them.

Although about 59 miles away from Sandhill House B&B and the self-catering Tamar Orchard Barn the walk will be well worth it whilst still returning to the very best Autumn colours enveloping the stunning Tamar Valley.

And indeed Sandhill House's own landscaped gardens will become a riot of Autumn colour.

And, we are sure that we will also have our first primroses, despite the dry Summer.
