September Beauty

What strange weather we are having at Sandhill House Bed and Breakfast and the self-catering Tamar Orchard Barn, Cornwall! What a day yesterday - every type of weather you can imagine excluding snow! And the gale force gusts blew the White Marseilles Fig off the back of the house taking the guttering with it! This stunning rainbow on the margins between the grey  raining thunder clouds and the sunshine lit up the meadows in front of the house yesterday morning.

The last of the roses are making a brave stand now although it has to be said we did have roses on the south facing wall with the French window on the Tamar Orchard Barn on Christmas Day last year.

After a bit of TLC this rose on The Tamar Orchard Barn's wall is looking much happier.
I tried to take this picture of the Smoke Bush so that the sunlight showed through the stunning red leaves but sadly my photographic skills are not up to the job.

A sign that dramatic Autumn is on its way!
