Cotehele Wins Gold

Cotehele wins Gold at the Cornwall Tourism Awards

As detailed on our website Cotehele, the National Trust Tudor mansion, garden and estate on the river Tamar in South East Cornwall, which is just a few minutes drive away from Sandhill House Country House Retreat B&B, has just won a highly prestigious gold award at the prestigious Cornwall Tourism Awards ceremony.

In winning top prize in the category of ‘Historic and Heritage Property and Country House Award, Cotehele was recognised by the judges as ‘outstanding’. They also commented: ‘Fascinating house, lovely gardens and a beautiful estate with plenty going on. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful.’

Cotehele has become a year round visitor attraction and last year saw almost 140,000 visitors. So if you are a National Trust member or just fancy a holiday exploring the stunning history and beauty of the Tamar Valley, book your luxury B&B accommodation at Sandhill House or perhaps if you plan to stay a bit longer book into the secluded, self-catering Tamar Orchard Barn. You can then just relax after a hard day 'discovering the extraordinary'.
