First Snowdrop at Sandhill Country House Retreat B&B

After the terrible weather we have been having I finally managed to get in the garden with the sun shining, just as if nothing had ever happened. And what a difference a couple of days make; the snowdrops have just 'shot up', with the very first one open - hoorah! Soon the garden will be full of them; Spring is on its way.

I was also so delighted to see that the Hamamelis Mollis' are just coming into flower with their simply, fabulous scent drifting in the garden, and the Sarcoccocas, by the front door, are just about to release their wonderful scent to.

I know I have sent several pictures of the Autumn flowering camellias, because I still find it hard to believe they exist, but this large Camellia has just come out, with the Autumn flowering ones, but I'm not sure if this a late Autumn flowering or a very early Spring variety. Which ever, it is really beautiful to have such colour in January.
