Almost in full bloom

Rushed out of Sandhill House Country House Retreat B&B today to take a picture of the Himalayan rhododendron before the rain came in. The camellias, daffodils and primroses have been truly magnificent this year, with three weeks without wind or rain. Last year they were all flattened or turned to mush in the wind and rain almost the moment they came out. 

So beautiful and weeks ahead of any other rhododendron in the garden. 

Every day a new camellia comes out to bring such joy at such beauty. 

And the wild daffodils and primroses have just been a carpet of the orchard. Stunning!
