GREAT Excitement at Sandhill House Country Retreat!v

Never seen before, one of the very rare Himalayan Rhododendrons, in Sandhill House's horticultural gardens is flowering. Apparently grown from seedlings, only four out of nine have survived and none have ever flowered until now!  Can anyone tell me the variety? I am going to be out there, enjoying the sun, to see this event every day.

I'm quite proud of this photograph; a lone crocus up on the orchard path; apparently, they just do not do well here but this one has stalwartly refused to give up.
And I just couldn't resist taking a photo of this near perfect clump of primroses - unfortunately the little birds, 'tinkers' that they are, have started to rip every flower off some clumps; I assume this is to find hardy aphids?
