Huge thank you to everyone who supported St Luke's Hospice Open Garden Day

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone that supported Sandhill House Country House Retreat B&B's Open Garden Day. We opened our gardens in order to raise vital funds for St Luke's Hospice in Plymouth and we didn't even imagine how successful it would be! 270 visitors raising £2,059 for this much needed caring charity. Apparently, thanks to magnificent community support both the visitor numbers and the funds raised were record breaking, which is just so everyone's hard work was all worthwhile.

Thank to all the volunteers that gave up their precious time to organise the event, be traffic marshals, take ticket money, sell raffle tickets and serve tea and cakes.

Thank you also to the brilliant Rubber Band, who provided fantastic music and entertainment, and also to The Dave Holmes trio, who helped create the festival spirit by serenading those taking tea and cakes on the Chapel Garden lawn.

A truly enchanting and inspiring day, never to be forgotten.

And we are delighted to confirm that we will be opening our gardens again in April 2015. We'll keep you posted on the date.
