Seasons of Mellow Mist and Fruitfulness

This year is going to be much better regarding organic apples and damsons from Sandhill House Bed & Breakfast and the self-catering Tamar Orchard Barn. 

Already the apples are turning to the most wonderful pink hue and the damsons are very nearly ready to collect. So we will have plenty of baked apples this Autumn and also organic mixed variety apple juice for our home cooked, special breakfasts. 















 
I can't wait to get going to make Damson pickle that is the most perfect accompaniment for halloumi cheese and bacon. 


We have also had a very good crop of fresh figs, which I have been cooking with blue cheese and red wine vinegar and honey dressing - the very best fig recipe.
