Record breaking day for St Luke's Hospice

I am delighted to tell you that, St Luke's Hospice has just informed us that the Gunnislake open garden event raised a staggering £2055 during the day, which included Sandhill House B&B and the self catering Tamar Orchard Barn, south facing private garden. Well done to everyone in Gunnislake who opened their gardens for the day, all the volunteers that made the day go smoothly and also to the public who came out 'en mass' to see the outcome of much hard work in the gardens. For sure the beautiful weather gave the whole event a helping hand.

Never to be forgotten, this splendid day at Sandhill House B&B, with the Tavistock Brass Ensemble and the model T Ford and Great Gatsby passengers, will be hard to surpass. However, we are going to do our best with the plan being for Sandhill House B&B and the Tamar Orchard Barn to have a special fundraising open day, for St Luke's next Spring where we plan to sell refreshments and plants and provide musical entertainment throughout the day including hopefully, the Tavistock Brass Ensemble, the Rubber Band and may be our special impromptu local trio, who we will keep a secret until the day. However, we will also be delighted to be part of the St Luke's Open Garden event in Gunnislake again in July.
